Sodalis Senior Living (“Sodalis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) cares about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and disclose information, and the choices you have. It is written to satisfy the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the disclosure/notice requirements in U.S. state privacy laws includingCalifornia CPRA/CCPAColorado CPAConnecticut CTDPAVirginia VCDPAUtah UCPAOregon OCPATexas TDPSAIowa CDPA, and Delaware DPDPA(collectively, “State Privacy Laws”).

This Policy does not replace any HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices for residents/patients. Health information collected and used for care is handled under HIPAA where applicable.

2) What we collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) you provide it (e.g., contact forms, “Schedule a Tour”), (b) automatically (cookies, logs, analytics), and (c) from service providers/partners (e.g., job application platforms).

Categories of Personal Information

  • Identifiers: name, email, phone, address, IP address, device identifiers.
  • Customer records / contact details: service inquiries, tour scheduling details.
  • Commercial/interaction info: pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit pages.
  • Internet/network activity: log files, browser/OS info, cookie IDs, approximate location from IP.
  • Professional information (applicants): employment history, education, qualifications (collected via our careers system/provider).
  • Inferences: limited to improving the site (e.g., analytics segments); we do not profile for eligibility decisions.
  • Sensitive personal information (SPI): we do not seek SPI (e.g., precise geolocation, SSN, health data) on the public website. If you voluntarily provide health-related info in a free-text field, we use it only to respond to your request and do not use it for advertising or profiling.

  • To operate and improve our websites and sub-sites.
  • To respond to inquiries, schedule tours, and provide requested information.
  • To support recruiting (if you apply for a job).
  • For security/fraud detection, debugging, and to comply with law.

    We do not use SPI for additional purposes without consent where required.

4) Cookies, analytics & tracking

5) How we disclose information

We do not sell your Personal Information for money. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable State Privacy Laws.
We disclose Personal Information to:

  • Service providers/processors that help us run the site and respond to you (e.g., hosting, analytics, email, form processing, applicant-tracking). They must use it only to provide services to us.
  • Authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or similar event.

If our practices change to include “selling” or “sharing” Personal Information, we will update this Policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

6) Data retention

We keep Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Typical retention:

  • Website form submissions & communications: up to 3 years after last interaction.
  • Web server logs & basic analytics: 12–24 months (aggregated thereafter).
  • Applicant data: per our applicant-tracking provider’s terms and legal retention requirements (often 3–7 years).
    When retention periods end, we delete or de-identify data.

  • Communications: You can opt out of non-transactional emails by following unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.
  • Cookies & analytics: Use browser settings and our Cookie Settings (where available).

8) U.S. State privacy rights

How to appeal (where available): If we deny your request, you may email sodalisseniorliving@sodalissenior.com with the subject “Privacy Appeal” and we’ll review and respond within the required timeframe.

Authorized agents & verification (CA, etc.): You may use an authorized agent; we may need proof of authorization and to verify your identity directly.

Nondiscrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

California “Shine the Light” (Civ. Code §1798.83): We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. You may still request information about such sharing by contacting us.

9) California “Notice at Collection”

We collect the categories listed in Section 2 for the purposes in Section 3, retain them for the periods in Section 6, and disclose them to service providers as described in Section 5. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share” link and honor opt-out preference signals. 10) Children’s privacy

Our public websites are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. 11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No system is perfectly secure; please use caution when sending information online.

12) Links & third-party services

Our sites may link to third-party platforms (e.g., careers/applicant-tracking, maps, video hosts). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

13) Geographic scope & transfers

This site is intended for U.S. visitors. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. where laws may differ.

14) Changes to this Policy

We will update this page if our practices change. The “Effective date” shows when it last changed. For material changes, we will provide additional notice as required.
