AnnMarie Hirsch, Health & Wellness Director
AnnMarie was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to a huge Italian family, several of whom were nursing professionals themselves. Her family’s nursing experience inspired her to begin her own journey in the senior living industry when she was only 15 years old, when she began working as a server in an Independent Living dining room. Over the years AnnMarie worked her way to becoming a CNA, followed by a med-tech, ultimately settling into a role as the supervisor of CNAs in a detox program where she remained for 13 years. From there she attended nursing school and went onto skilled nursing for four years until she followed a friend into the world of Assisted Living, where she thrived and eventually became the Health & Wellness Director. She has been a part of the Sodalis Largo family since February 2020. AnnMarie is passionate about serving residents and being their advocate, which she says is her calling in life.

Grace Miller, Life Enrichment Director
Born and raised in Largo, Florida, Grace is the youngest out of five biological siblings with an adopted younger brother. She has been working in healthcare at Sodalis Largo for a total of 10 years. During that time, she has worn many hats with experience in dietary, reception, and activities. Grace’s favorite part about working with residents is becoming the family member or friend that they need and rely on. She loves helping residents flourish in the golden years of their lives. Many people believe that when they move into a retirement home that their life stops there, but Grace is determined to be a part of changing that mindset. In her spare time Grace enjoys traveling throughout the United States, and in 2016 she went to Kenya for a month where she worked in a clinic and school.

Alice Van Dyk, Community Sales Director
Alice Van Dyk is the newest addition to our team at Sodalis Largo! Alice was born in South Africa and moved to the United States in 1997. Alice has a varied and impressive resume, having served as the Financial Coordinator to the VP of an IT company called Infoplan, a respected realtor for Maurits Blignaut and Associates, owned a small fashion design company called Rags by Alice, and later owned an interior decorating store called Alice Art Interiors. In 2000, Alice was also a Property Manager of 140 units at Sunpointe Place in Largo. Alice discovered her passion and purpose in senior living when she entered the industry in 2013. She realized that not only is she providing resources and information, but she is truly making a difference in the residents’ and their families’ lives. Watching a resident flourish and participate in activities as well as providing families with peace of mind is incredibly rewarding for Alice. Outside of work, Alice loves art and music in any form. She started a hiking club in South Africa despite her fear of heights. She has slid down muddy hillsides, jumped over gaps in cliffs, swam across rivers, slept out in the open and has enjoyed every minute.

Inspired by his family’s culinary skills, Matthew himself started cooking when the restaurant opened. He especially loves cooking Italian food. Matthew began his career in senior living when he took a job at an Independent Living community where he stayed for 4 years. From there Matthew went on to Windsor Reflections Memory Care of Lakewood Ranch where he remained for another four years. Matthew joined the Sodalis Largo team in January of 2021. He loves working with seniors especially during the COVID-19 pandemic since the residents have been unable see their loved ones living outside the community. Having never been close to his grandparents in the past, Matthew feels like now he has one hundred grandparents! In his spare time, he loves vacationing and has traveled abroad to England, Germany, Italy and Sweden. He loves sports, particularly football, basketball, hockey and baseball.
