Values in Action Employee Recognition Program
Have you witnessed a colleague being awesome at work lately? Please consider the Core Values and Nomination Examples listed below as guidelines to complete the Nomination Form on the reverse side.
Service: “It’s not about me”
To serve is to answer the needs of another, to put the needs of another first. We serve our residents, we serve our families, and we serve one another. Our basic human desire is to be first, not last, and yet to truly serve one another, we must put ourselves last.
Integrity: “We do what is right, not what is easy”
The Latin root of integrity is whole or complete. It means living in the public view as you do in private. Making the call because it is the right thing to do, not because it is required. Accepting responsibility for our mistakes and not shifting blame to others.
Dignity: “We honor & value the worth of people”
Webster defines dignity as “The quality or state of being worthy, honored, or esteemed.” We believe in the dignity of each individual as a unique person, worthy of love, honor, and esteem simply because. We design our buildings, choose and train our co-workers and live out the high calling of our daily work with the individual at the center of everything.
Excellence: “We always give our best”
Doing YOUR best to serve our residents, their loved ones and our colleagues.
Teamwork: “We succeed together”
We are not just a team because we work together. We are a team because we respect, trust and care for one another.
