The 7th Annual Alzheimer’s Symposium: Sodalis Senior Living and the Alzheimer’s Association Team Up to Raise Awareness
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, August 12, 2016 – On October 19th, 2016, Sodalis Memory Care and the Alzheimer’s Association, San Antonio & South Texas Chapter, will co-host its 7th Annual Alzheimer’s Symposium at the McKenna Events Center in New Braunfels, Texas from 9:00 am to 2:45 p.m.
This annual Symposium gathers together the best and brightest minds in our local healthcare industry to share their knowledge, products and services with Alzheimer’s caregivers. The event is free for local caregivers and includes lunch and refreshments.
This year’s speakers feature Chris Johnson, PhD, Clinical Professor of Sociology from Texas State University, who will speak on the causes and solutions for distress in persons with dementia, and Yvonne Lozano, PhD, MFT, Assistant Professor and Chair of Gerantology from Ashford University, who will speak on dementia and the holidays. In addition, several local senior housing representatives, senior move specialists and senior engagement specialists will be presenting topics on finance, downsizing, differentiating dementia, delusion and delirium, and much more.
Donations are accepted, and corporate sponsorships are available. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
